about

The refrain at the end is ripped off from Willy Tea Taylor's song "The Very Best".

I used to think about the person that Trauma Bonding is about when I heard "The Very Best", and a little after we broke up it came on and I balled my eyes out. It felt right to reference it in Trauma Bonding, but it turned into a pretty direct rip off.

Willy Tea Taylor, if you're reading this, I hope we're cool <3

lyrics

It's not impossible, and I'm doing my best, but these constant failures wear at my resolve.
and I know I'm hard to love, and I'm not honest enough, and these scarred eyes distort the things I see.

My final words are "rest in peace"

I want to leave again, and I want chemicals in my brain. I want to know what peace and calm feel like.
I know how to live alone, but you left me without a home, and it's getting much too cold outside ay night.

My final words are rest in peace. You might not be dead, but you're dead to me.

I might not be too good at most things I do, but I'm hands down the best person at missing you.
